Topic 1: The Jefferson County County-wide notification system (and all of its uses)

Topic 2: (If time permits) The Trinity to Grandview Hospital move

Presenter: Jim Coker, Director, Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA)

Mr. Coker retired as a Captain from the Hoover Police Department following a 35 year law enforcement career.  He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy; a graduate of the University of Alabama (undergraduate) and Faulkner University (graduate school) and is an adjunct professor at Faulkner University.  In September of 2014, he became the Jefferson County EMA Director.  Mr. Coker is also the Chairperson for the Alabama Mutual Aid System Advisory Council, and on the Greater Alabama Council Board of the Boy Scouts of America.  He served in the Alabama Army National Guard, and also as the Incident Commander (Central Alabama) for the Alabama Incident Management Team.

  • Lunch is available for purchase via Eventbrite and provided by LunchBox Express.
  • Lunch includes:  Any sandwich or wrap (Includes pickle spear, tortilla chips, homemade salsa with salad of the day OR homemade dessert), a drink (Water, Sweet Tea, Coke, Diet Coke or Sprite).

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There are two visitor parking lots and ample, free street parking.

What is the refund policy?

Cancellation must be made through Eventbrite before Monday, April 11 at 11:30AM CT.  Refunds (minus any Eventbrite fees) will be acknowledged within 2 business days and can take up to 5 days to process.

What if I can’t attended, but I purchased a lunch?

Any lunches left over at the end of the meeting (1:00 PM CT) will be donated to the Chapter.  We cannot carry over payments to the next month meeting.

Can I bring my own lunch?

Absolutely!  If you did not order a lunch, feel free to bring your own.

Will there be any extra lunches (that can be bought at the door)?

No.  Lunches are made to order.
